School for trainers and Psychotherapists - II stage

A three- year program for acquiring psychotherapeutic competence Gestalt School

Assumptions:

The objective of the school is a holistic preparation of the participants to practice the profession of psychotherapist based on Gestalt theory and methodology.
According to the European standards the whole training requires apart from workshops and lectures clinical practice, supervision, experience of personal therapy in the modality in which a students is trained.

Qualification conditions:

  • completion of higher education school,
  • completion of the 1st Stage of training - Gestalt Internship,
  • submitting a survey in the Institute office,
  • positive result of an interview.

  • Training structure:

    The training is realized in a 12-15 people workshop group and 4-6 people supervision group.
    It consists of 30 workshops (10 per year) which take place every month with a holiday break. In total 820 hours.

    Attention!

    The Institute Board can suspend or strike off a participant from the list if:

  • his activities violate the EAGT Ethical Code
  • there are some hints questioning his emotional capabilities necessary to conduct a therapeutic process in a responsible way
  • he does not fulfill formal requirements determined by the Institute

  • Conditions for obtaining psychotherapeutic competence -Certificate of Psychotherapist:

  • Systematic participation in classes (we allow 40 hours of absence during three years)
  • Passing exams
  • Writing a diploma work
  • Personal training therapy:
    Individual - minimum 80 hours
    Group - minimum 100 hours
  • Training individual supervision - minimum 50 hours
  • Recommendation from a conducting supervisor

  • Teaching staff:

    The workshops are conducted by experienced Gestalt teachers and supervisors - staff members of the Institute team , national and foreign coworkers.

    Place:

    The workshops take place in Krakow. The Institute offers free accommodation in basic conditions; the students can use the kitchen.
