Training psychotherapy

According to the standards of training for psychotherapists, training participants are required to undergo Gestalt training psychotherapy.

The requirement of training therapy is related to contemporary results of research on therapy effectiveness, which significantly stress a key importance of a therapist in a psychotherapeutic process. Self-development is then a basic condition for becoming a therapists.

Training therapy differs from regular psychotherapy only in formal requirements. Its basic features are:

  • It takes place during training
  • Minimal length is determined:
    • 80 hours for individual therapy
    • 100 hours for group therap.
  • Individual psychotherapy is conducted by a psychotherapist selected from the list of training psychotherapists recommended by the Institute
  • Trainees select a therapeutic group from the current offer of the Institute
